There are terms throughout this book that more than likely a great many of us will not be familiar with, yet do not let that put you off. This is a great tale of life as it details the clash of a young man named Siddhartha as he struggles between the material world and the spiritual world. In his self-discovery and his thirst for meaning and purpose, there is wisdom and a relevance throughout the novel that accompanies the overarching story itself well. It covers themes such as life, religion, spirituality, human nature and consciousness of which a lot of readers can take something from. While it may not be for everyone, it follows an engaging path to the pursuit of enlightenment in a unique way that encourages reflection and wondering.
